she tlk  a lot but very fun to be around

i used to leave next to their home. all the kids i used to know are all grown up now.

Users are disconnected to the other user. They never been seen and that makes each user identify each other though avatars.  There is a thin line between avatars whether it’s a “real” separate identity from the user or not, which many think avatar is just a character but the article above said otherwise. 

The lawsuit was given to the avatar, which means they given the entity to avatar itself.  Later they made the creator of the avatar pay for its crime.  In the book Paper Machine by Jacques Darrida he have give and idea about paper in chapter 7 which help suggest me that avatar existence is not exist because there are no paper to back them up (like human have birth certificate).  I think that paper does not matter much as a determiner of how something exist.  If I do not have a birth certificate or any paper work for that matter, I am still a human being and other still recognizes me as a human being, sure it will be hard.  I can’t get jobs, or any benefit. But I can correct cans, get money selling homemade thing, and live in the cardboard, still people know I’m a human being and most importantly, I’m exist.  I think there are more that just paper that make thing “exist”.  Those components are the components that exist in real world such as, death, money, and laws.  

People don’t have any respect for other on the virtual world mainly because they know if their character dies, it will reborn. And they do not use acceptable currency and can be exchange around the world.  As in the avatar lawsuit, the creator has to ultimately pay the price for charge against his avatar because his avatar can only pay in Linden money.  And since there not really a law regulating it, people are compel to do what they can’t on real life. In the lawsuit, if only the character possess these three element.  The end result might be very different.  The character might just got destroy and the creator can create anymore avatar.

 

As you may or may not know, World of Warcraft(WOW) have held a funeral for someone who die in real life. Many had attend the funeral but at the middle of the funeral, people were attack by a group of other “hard core” player. This event lead to many of the character to die and transform grieve to anger.Different but some how similar, Derrida talk about “paper” in her book Paper Machine that paper itself have many from and many use but when it serve as a medium for writing, paper become the “support”. A support which represent an idea or existent of physical mean, which now take form in an online “paper”. The online “paper” is virtually infinite, like WOW, “paper” whatever form it take, it’s just a support and reflection of the actual physical world. It transfer what we can do physically and turn it in to virtual which will spread to many audience who also using the online “paper”.
